The Audi Club of Georgia will host a Teen Driving Clinic on February 18th at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Teens from all over the Greater Atlanta area are welcome to attend, regardless of what vehicle they drive. The clinic will be an all-day school for drivers ages 15 to 20 years old with a valid drivers license or permit. Each teen will have an instructor in their car as they take on car control exercises in both wet and dry conditions.
Some of the concepts they will learn include:
- Importance of vision
- Cornering – understeer and oversteer
- Braking
- Emergency lane change and object avoidance manuvers
- Proactive vs. reactive driving techniques
- Effects of weight transfer
- Driver courtesy
- Safe following distance
Registration for this event is limited to 32 students and pre-registration filled nearly half of the spots, so act fast! The clinic is only $105 for the entire day, which includes a boxed lunch. Membership in Audi Club North America is not required. Click here to register for the clinic.

As Petit Le Mans draws closer, we’ve received a growing number of questions about the Audi motorsport experience for 2011. This year, we will be offering a package very similar to 2010, although we’re unable to make an official announcement at this time. Ticket sales will be held online again this year, and historically they have sold out very quickly, leaving many of our loyal members without tickets.
