South Georgia Exploration Drive
Sunday, May 23, 2021
Join us on Sunday, May 23rd , for a destination drive through middle Georgia to Providence Canyon State
Park for a picnic lunch. We will meet on Sunday morning south of Atlanta in Fairburn and have a scenic
drive through several small Middle and South Georgia towns. Our route will take us through Peachtree
City, Senoia, Woodbury, Manchester, Talbotton, Cusseta, and Lumpkin to Georgia's "Little Grand
Canyon", Providence Canyon State Park. Providence Canyon has massive gullies as deep as 150 feet
created by erosion due to poor farming practices during the nineteenth century, but today is a beautiful
canyon with many hiking trails. We will plan to spend time at the park for those that are up for a hike.
We have a picnic pavilion reserved, so you will need to bring a picnic lunch and drinks. Parking passes
are $5 per vehicle.
Pre-registration is required, and all guests must sign the ACNA waivers to attend. The
registration cost is $5 per person, and registration is limited to 25 cars, or 40 people. We are continuing to
follow CDC guidelines and practice social distancing. Masks will be required when we are
outside of our cars and not eating or drinking. Remember to bring your Audi Club masks if you
received one on our April drive. If not, we will have additional masks available.
